A gaming PC based on the Ryzen 5 5600 is the most affordable way to get 6 Zen 3 cores and 12 threads with a frequency of up to 4.4 GHz and 32 MB of L3 cache. The processor runs on the AM4 platform with DDR4 memory, consumes 65 W, and fully unlocks graphics cards like the RTX 5060 and RTX 4060 in Full HD. Our selection includes pre-built PowerUp configurations on the Ryzen 5 5600 with graphics cards ranging from the RTX 3050 to RTX 5070, 16 or 32 GB of RAM, and an NVMe SSD. Builds featuring Ryzen 7000/9000 and Intel Core processors can be found in our general gaming PCs catalog.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 specifications
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Architecture | Zen 3, 7 nm process |
| Cores / threads | 6 / 12 |
| Base / max frequency | 3.5 / 4.4 GHz |
| L2 + L3 Cache | 3 MB + 32 MB |
| TDP | 65 W |
| Socket and memory | AM4, DDR4-3200 (dual channel) |
| Integrated graphics | No — a discrete graphics card is required |
Which games and tasks it is suitable for
Six Zen 3 cores are enough for most games: modern engines mostly load 6–8 threads, while the rest are left for Discord, a browser, and background apps. Learn more in our article "How many cores do you need for gaming in 2026".
- Esports — CS2, Valorant, Dota 2, Fortnite, League of Legends: high FPS for 144–165 Hz monitors.
- AAA games in Full HD — Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Warzone, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on medium to high settings with a properly selected graphics card.
- Streaming — encoding via NVENC on a GeForce graphics card does not load the processor.
- Study and work — office applications, programming, Full HD video editing, Photoshop.
More options for this resolution can be found in the PCs for Full HD gaming section.
Which graphics card to choose
| Task | Graphics card in builds | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Esports, undemanding games | RTX 3050 6/8 GB, RTX 5050 | Minimal budget, Full HD on medium settings |
| AAA in Full HD | RTX 5060, RTX 4060 | Best balance with this processor |
| Full HD 144+ Hz, future-proofing | RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, RTX 4060 Ti 16GB | 16 GB of VRAM for textures on high settings |
| 1440p (2K) gaming | RTX 5070, RTX 4070 | In Full HD the CPU can limit FPS, in 2K it fully unlocks the card |
All builds in this selection use an A520 chipset motherboard, where the graphics card slot operates in PCIe 3.0 mode. For the RTX 5070 and RTX 4070 with 16 lanes, this has practically no effect on FPS. The RTX 5050, 5060, 5060 Ti, 4060, and 4060 Ti connect via 8 lanes: performance losses typically do not exceed a few percent and are more noticeable in 8 GB versions when the game runs out of video memory. In such games, simply lowering the texture quality by one step is enough.
Ryzen 5 5600 or the AM5 platform
| Processor | Platform | Cores / threads | L3 Cache | When to choose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryzen 5 5600 | AM4, DDR4 | 6 / 12 | 32 MB | Lowest price for a gaming PC, Full HD |
| Ryzen 5 7500F | AM5, DDR5 | 6 / 12 | 32 MB | Higher FPS in CPU-bound games, upgrade path to Ryzen 9000 |
| Ryzen 7 5700X3D | AM4, DDR4 | 8 / 16 | 96 MB | Future upgrade without changing the motherboard and memory |
If your budget allows, the AM5 platform offers more headroom for the years ahead — check out our Ryzen 7 gaming PCs. If price is a priority, the 5600 remains one of the best value options, and later it can be replaced with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D with a BIOS update. Other affordable configurations are collected in the budget gaming PCs section.
What is included in a PowerUp build
- Memory — 16 or 32 GB of DDR4-3200 in dual-channel mode.
- Storage — 512 GB or 1 TB NVMe SSD.
- Motherboard — AM4 on the A520 chipset with Ryzen 5000 support.
- Cooling — air cooling: with a 65 W TDP, the processor does not need liquid cooling.
- Testing and warranty — 4-hour stress test before shipping, 24-month warranty, delivery across Ukraine in 1–2 days.
If you need a different graphics card, more memory, or a larger SSD — we will assemble a custom configuration for your tasks. Installment payments are available. All builds on other processors can be found in the PowerUp gaming computers catalog.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ryzen 5 5600 enough for gaming in 2026?
Yes, for Full HD. Six Zen 3 cores and 32 MB of L3 cache provide comfortable FPS in esports and AAA games with graphics cards like the RTX 5060 and RTX 4060. CPU bottlenecks mostly appear in Full HD with an RTX 5070 and above, as well as in strategy games and MMOs with a large number of objects.
How does the Ryzen 5 5600 differ from the Ryzen 5 5600X?
The number of cores, cache, and TDP are the same. The 5600X has higher frequencies (3.7 / 4.6 GHz vs. 3.5 / 4.4 GHz), so it is a few percent faster in games. The Ryzen 5 5600, however, is cheaper and just as easy to cool.
Which graphics card should I pair with a Ryzen 5 5600?
The optimal pairing for Full HD is the RTX 5060 or RTX 4060. For extra video memory and high settings — the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. The RTX 5070 makes sense if you play in 2K: at this resolution, the processor does not limit the graphics card.
Can a Ryzen 5 5600 PC be upgraded in the future?
Yes. You can install a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D on the same AM4 motherboard after a BIOS update — this noticeably increases FPS in games without replacing the memory. Upgrading to a Ryzen 7000/9000 will require a new AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory.
How much RAM is needed: 16 or 32 GB?
16 GB is enough for esports and most games. For new AAA projects, streaming, and using a browser while gaming, 32 GB of DDR4 is better: this prevents the system from running out of memory and using the swap file.
